Dear VisitorRon Parker

It is my privilege to be made Worshipful Master of the University of Birmingham Lodge, N°5628 for this second time,
and it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our web page. You will find much information about our lodge including its history and the current officers, along with news and events from the Province of Warwickshire.

When the Lodge was originally founded on the 31st October 1936 in the Birmingham Town Hall, it welcomed active and prospective Freemasons who were in some way associated with the University of Birmingham. Membership of the UGLE Universities Scheme has broadened our horizons and we are happy to have accepted into our number graduates, undergraduates and others with ties to Universities in the Midlands.

Today, the University of Birmingham Lodge, while preserving its traditions through the guidance and mentorship of its most senior members, takes pride in being a growing lodge with active members from diverse academic backgrounds and walks of life, all sharing a common genuine interest in Freemasonry.

This year, 2015-2016, sees a new home for our lodge as we have moved to the ‘antient’ venue of Severn Street which has been a Masonic Hall in Birmingham for over 200 years. Easily accessible by car with its own car park facility, train being a short walk from New Street and Snow Hill and Bus.

I welcome your interest to our Lodge; whether you are a current Freemason and would like to visit our Lodge, or whether you would like more information on how to become a Freemason or about Freemasonry in general, it is be possible for you to get intouch with us via email. Please contact our secretary.

Thank you for viewing our webpage.
